Which mix of horizontal and vertical lines in a room's furnishings..?

will generally provide the most pleasing effect?

A) more vertical than horizontal

B) half vertical and half horizontal

C) more horizontal than vertical

D) all horizontal (vertical lines are too threating)

I'd say B, because it seems that it would be most pleasing to have both equally.  But, all could work in different ways, except D, you really need some vertical lines.
