I have received a gift in the form of a Flowmaster and installation. The problem is that I don't know a whole lot about exhaust/mufflers. I understand that performance is going to stay relatively the same, so I'm looking at sound.
I want it to be really loud on the outside and I want to hear it inside, but I still want to hear my music while driving.
I'm not sure if Flowmasters create this sound, but I have always been fascinated by the kind of "bubbly"/"popping" sound that sometimes has intervals of human sub-frequency noise that you only know happen because you can feel it. (Forgive the flow of that, I kind of did a stream of consciousness thing there.) Anyways, I think the noise is somewhat consistent with muscle cars? If this isn't possible by a Flowmaster, then I'll just move on.
So, I would like to know what model of Flowmaster I'm looking for or suggestions. It needs to be Flowmaster brand. I've been looking at the Super 44 and 50, but I'm okay with any model.
I have a:
2002 Dodge Ram 1500
4.7L V8 (2WD)
I am an engineering student going into my sophomore year of college, so I may know a little about technical things, but I've got the internet, yahoo answers and Wikipedia, so I'll do research if it gets too technical.
Thank you and my apologies for typing too much.
