  1. Jammu & kashmir is a good hill station. if you are asking specific to jaammu , it would be month of april as it will not be too hot at that time . Jammu is city of temples , so you can see a lot of old temples there .One of famous is rahunath temple. You can also visit vaishno devi shrine. Also 100km from JAmmu is hill station called Patnitop. Its also a nice place to see and stay for a couple of days. Sanasar is also a place close to patni Top.

If you wanna go to Kashmir also , then best months are from May to August. Well you cant describe kashmir in words. Its heaven on earth. So need to visit to apppreciate it.You need minimum 10 days to see all places in kashmir.

  2. pl visit www.irctc.co.in u will get all ur information , just sign up and check all u need.

till wht i knwo jammu tavi goes form kalyan to jammu

  3. You can visit Jammu & Kashmir in the Summers. You can find more information about Jammu & Kashmir through following link:

  4. Jammu is a hot ( unbearable )place in summers and coldest in winters. You need to decide when you wish to be there.

There is only 1 direct train between Mumbai and Jammu. It's Swaraj Express. It's on western railway. You can get on the train at Borivli station but better will be go to Bandra Terminus so that you get plentiful of time. It leaves in the morning and reaches Jammu next day evening. It's actually a superfast train. Has AC coaches and pantry car.

    In Jammu - visit :

    1. Mubarak Mandi Palace

    2. Amar Mahal Palace

    3. Dogra art gallery

    4. Raghunath temple

    5. Ranbireshwar temple

    6. Bahu fort and temple and palace

    7. Crowded markets around Raghunath temple.

    Around Jammu :

    1. Akhnoor : Chenab river runs along Akhnoor , well known for the legend of Sohni - Mahiwal as well as ruins of Indus valley civilisation. A huge temple complex of Shiva at the entrance of Akhnoor town. The town is almost adjucent to Pakistan border.

    2. Vaishnodevi temple : I need not elaborate. Start climbing in the late evening to avoid hot sun. You might reach around early morning ( if you walk ) or bit earlier ( if you took a horse ). After darshan, you might reach back in early morning to Katra town. There are several travel options between Jammu and Katra.

    3. Patnitop : nearest cool hilltop to Jammu. Nothing spectacular except ancient Nag temple and green forest covers. Several small places nearby like Kud, Batote etc. Patnitop is a nice option to stay overnight if you are travelling to Shrinagar ( Kashmir valley ) from Jammu.

    4. Shrinagar : mogul gardens, Dal lake and several places. Few kilometers ahead is Sonamarg and Gulmarg. Nice city and pleasant environment even in summers.

    5. Pehelgam : gateway place to Amarnath shrine. Only place where you can buy "Tudum silk".

Hope this is helpful to you. Please feel free if you need more information.

    Happy holidays.
