  1. I know this isn't an answer to your exact question but you might also want to consider a Honda Outboard. They make a 4 stroke motor that is powerful ,quiet, clean, and very fuel efficient.

  2. simply put, that's a large boat.  go for the horsepower!

  3. I'd take the 135 Optimax over a 150 EFI.  In my opinion the Optimax is a much better injection system, but if it were me I'd probably step up to the 150 or even 175 Optimax if you're buying it new. There isn't that much of a difference in price and they weigh the same.  Actually they all use the same power head, the 150 and 175 are just tuned differently and have difference gear ratios.

  4. I guess it really depends on what you want it for. Cruising, skiing, tubing, hauling lots of people... Both look very clean and fuel efficient. Fuel injection would certainly be nice for a trouble free engine and easy starting. 15 hp doesn't seem like a lot until you get one or two more people in the boat and then the lack of those 15 hp can make everything feel more sluggish.

In response to the 4 stroke comment above...I do think 4 strokes are nice and they're really quiet but I believe their drawbacks far outweigh their benefits in boating. The cost difference is enormous. Everyone says a 4 stroke has better performance but I've yet to use a 4 stroke with even 150 hp that felt like it could match a 115 two stroke. 4 strokes take too longer to spin up in my mind.
