Which motorcycle helmet is better??

For me this is a no-brainer.

Arai are the best manufacturer of motorcycle helmets bar none.

Regardless of which testing system is used, the US or the EU, Arai are constantly top of the pile, for comfort, strength, weight, and safety.

Yes they are expensive, but let's be honest, what price can you put on your life, or more to the point, what price the safety of your brain?

Even if you blow the majority of your bike clothing budget on your lid, surely it is worth it?

Don't get me wrong Shoei make great lids, but the Arai is just the absolute.

both are top of the line. Arai too me is so expensive. But they both do the job "if you fall". I have a Shoei cuz of the look

arai helmets far exceed safety tests out of all helmets plus they look good too! i would def make sure my heads well protected even if it costs that little bit more wouldnt u!

Try them first, choose one that fits best.  

If you did try them and both fit the same, consider the looks.  

Also Shoei shield is much easier to change and less hassle.

I own both Arai (Quantum II) and Shoei (RF-1000).

Personally I use Arai (fits better).

And in truth any helmet above $300 will be of a good quality, fit is the most important.

Depends on what scale you use...weight, details, shield mechanisms and finish are really what separates the more expensive helmets.  The EPS layers are very similar.  However, the fit between the Shoei and Arai are totally different (the Arai shell tends to be more oblong).  If choosing, I would concentrate on fit and if hot spots develop. An uncomfortable helmet is useless if you don't wear it.

its a toss up.. theyre both top of the line helmets,, with these two choices, its really gonna be based on the looks.
