Which motorcycle is better regarding to quality and safety, 2006 suzuki katana 600 or 2007 yahama yzf600r?

My husband said the Suzuki katana is a piece of c**p. Your best bet is the yahama yzf600. He also said, the Suzuki GSXR 600 is the best of all the sport bikes.

If you are new to motorcycling, go with the Katana. It has enough power for a beginner and has a more comfortable riding position where you are sitting more upright. A Katana is considered by some to be more of a sport-cruiser type ride.

The Yamaha is more of a performance oriented race bike, with power to match. You assume more of a race crouch riding position while riding. If you have riding experience, there is no question go with the FZR.  It is a top notch bike.

One of my first bikes was a Suzuki katana. I have nothing bad to say about that bike..It had the perfect amount of power, but not enough to get you killed. It was an incredible confidence builder, very forgiving and a great learning bike... I push this bike, and put it thur h**l, and it never let me down! It's a very nimble and stable bike,awesome in the turns  plus its incredibly comfortable! You can't beat that... I really got spoiled riding that bike, because it felt like I was riding on a couch! Now if only my other bikes would feel the same way!

I can't say much about the YZF as I've never owned one, but everyone I have talked to that has had one has really enjoyed it...

With those two choice I really don't think you can go wrong... Look around do some research, sit on a few and get what is the most comfortable for you! We all can give you our opinions but in the end it all comes down to you, your riding experience, and your preference... Everyone is different and enjoy different things!
