please could i have ur opinions on which mp3 is the best for sound and storage

i will go for ipod or sony for mp3 players. but ipod headphones are cheap and will break easily.

i currently got a sony mp3 and it headphones is still going strong.

just buy a mp3 player with atleast 8gb and then you will be fine.

It all depends on how good your hearing is / what equipment you using. I would not go below 128 (approx 4-5meg size files) unless u really struggling for storage

It really does depend on your preferences. iPod sound quality is not the greatest, but with a decent set of earphones they are Ok.

For storage, I don't think you can beat the iPod Classic - 160Gb!!

I've tried a bunch and quite frankly i must say my favorite one so far is sony's psp.

Really the sound converters sound great, soo good that you'll throw ayay all your bad mp3's.

- Drag and drop: no fighting with poprietary programs.

- It realds folders, cool pluggins, random play/single play, etc,

- Expandable storage up to 16gigs on swappable sd cards (virtually unlimited space.

- Reads mp4 movies, same format used in the ipod

- 12 hours of play if you turn screen off with the 2200mA battery, ability to change the battery fast, charge via usb and via normal outlets.

- Full control on headphones (sold for 25$), lets you adjust volume, play/pause/skip songs.

- Its solid, really solid. All parts are replaceable fairly easily.

- Reasonable price tag. 160$ can +39$ for a 4gig memory stick

- Plays GAMES, plays umd movies (some video rental places have them)

- On board speakers, not great sounding but really handy

- Possibility to plug on a tv/sound system.

Cons:

-Significantly bigger than most mp3 devices

-Lots of add on to get to get full functionality

The psp doesn't look like it but its a mean machine. Beats the c**p out of an Ipod for functionality/price and has a superb sound. So far it has the best sound among the mp3 capable portable machines. The possibility to swap umd's is great to make different playlists and swap them on the go.
