Which muscle should i train to make my punches harder ?

  1. The gluteus maximus aka the butt. When you extend for a punch the kentic energy shoots from your gluteus maximus down to your leg and through your arm to give you the power for a punch. This Kentic energy allows you to get good leverage. So technically its not a muscle but the muscle that helps you get the leverage is The  Gluteus Maximus.


  2. your core muscles are where your power comes from. your arms are just an extension of your punch. it starts at your core and is transferred by turned your shoulders and extending your arm. go to a boxing gym and they can show you what that looks like

  4. Punching is more  leverage and technique than anything. Just beacue you have big muscles dosent mean your a big puncher. If you have the right technique your going to punch hard reguardless.

    Some of boxing greatest punchers didnt look like  bodybuliders the triceps are helpfull for any sport. However doing extra tricep exerises wont having you punching like Kelly Pavlik who if you seen him is very skinny. But if you notice he gets his weight and leverage behind his punches and knocks guys out dead.

    Learn the basics on how to throw a punch correct becasue if you can throw the punch the right way its going to hurt. Once you learn how to do that work on getting your weight behind the punch and then power will come.

  5. start from the toe to the fist its not just one its a chain of movement so starts from your foot then knee hip shoulder

    elbow fist but it the movement  that will get that bit more sting when you throw  them. its not just one muscle you need to work on as that wont make them harder  it can may make you slower but do train all of them legs help with getting power in the shots.
