Which museums to go in NYC?

I only have few days in U.S so I want to spend it wisely.

I'm going to NYC Saturday and planning to go to American Museum of Natural History so I need to know any other good museums near there.

I know during the weekends American Museum of Natural History takes donation but I don't have to pay admission,

could you tell me the museums near American Museum of Natural History and tell me the admission price also? thanks

The Metropolitan Museum of Art... A lot of people told me that was the most interesting one in New York.

I dont know of any museums near the Natural History however the Museum is literally an all day event.It takes up 4 city blocks from 77th to 81st streets.

New York Historical Society is right across AMNH at 77th St.

There is world traditional Metropolitan Museum of Art on east side of Central Park. Reachable by M79 bus (CPW stop near Rose Space Center)

AMNH, only special exhibitons are not donation.

However, Metropolitan Museum of Art is always donation, and special exhibition and coatcheck is free.

There is small American Folk Museum at Lincoln Center as well.
