  1. Normally mutual funds does not allow day trading for thier investors.

  2. wat ever or which ever the mutual fund is, they must be in delivery and not in derivatives. Nothing but, they must be in the form of investing.

How ever, even in delivery, you can buy daily and sell daily the stocks that you hold. It depends totally on the fund manager whether to hold the stocks or sell. He does it depending on technical analysis and other news. If such an analysis fluctuate every day, the fund manager may transact the stocks every day. BUT SUCH A POSSIBILITY IS VERY SELDOM.

  3. Mutual funds by their very nature can not day trade.

Mutual funds are registered to be investment companies, day trading is not investing.  And there is a very big difference betweein tradiang and investing.

Mutual funds, if so registered, can buy for the short term, or can sell short, but they can not day trade.

From an accounting, and record keeping point of view day trading would be prohibitive.

  4. Day trading is the buying and selling of a position during the same day.

Mutual funds settle all buys and sells at the Net Asset Value at the end of they day.  So, you can't day-trade mutual funds because the price doesn't change during a day.

  5. There is not really any "mutual fund"  like that.

Most people don't want high turnover because it creates taxable gains. Longer term investors look for lower turnover for that reason.

What you are talking about is more like a hedge fund but they also use high leverage and as a result of the very high risk you are supposed to be a high net worth customer to be able to tolerate the higher risk.

For the most part "day trading" is NOT investing.

The reasons for buying or selling a stock don't change by the hour or the day. That is "speculating" on the VERY short term price movement of a stock NOT "investing" in a company.

  6. No  funds do that.  Although they might do the transactions frequently no single fund is dedicated to earn from Day trading.
