Which name do you like better? Lilaea or Lileia?

Just thought I'd mention: this is for a character in a story, not a little girl :)

And also, her nickname will be 'Lily'

  1. Whichever you decide, I'm betting the child is going to be called "Lily." I'm also betting that this child will spend an awful lot of her life (1) telling people how to spell her name and (2) explaining how to pronounce her name.

    If it is pronounced 'Lil-AY-uh', with the emphasis on the 'AY'.

  5. It depends on whether you prefer the Greek or Latin spelling.  People aren't going to know how to pronounce it either way.  I like the long a, go with Lileia.
