well, depends if your having a boy or girl.

i know a lot of girls with the name Adrian, so i think that's more of a girls name.

andd ofcourse william is a boys name, so if your having a boy i like william better!

I like Adrian for a girl (can't see a little boy with that name.) and i like William for a boy. You could call him Will for short.

They are very different styles. If I had to guess, I'd say one is your partner's choice and one is yours? Lol, maybe not. Either way, here's my take:

Adrian is more modern and cool. The "n" ending is very trendy right now, especially with boy names. It's a unisex name but it's still more on the masculine side and I think you'd be doing a good deed by taking it back for the boys.

William is classic and you can't go wrong with it. It strikes *me* as a little s****., but I don't think most people perceive it that way. Excellent nickname potential.

Overall, I'm a little biased toward Adrian because I love that name on a boy -- but it's your taste that counts. You can't go wrong either way. But if you have a very common last name, you might not want to give your child a common first name like William. That could complicate things later in life.

I really don't like Adrian, reminds me of Adrian Mole and of weak men with no chins. Aidan is nice though.

William is okay, but Willie isn't. Bill is fine, as is Liam.
