  4. Derek. Personally I really don't like either though.

  5. Dereck (Derrick). Percy is not as masculine.

  6. derek 4 sure.. ahahah yeah percy will get the guy a black eye

  7. Derek

  8. I strongly dislike the name Percy- it sounds like a name one would give to a small animal. I also dislike the name Derek but it's a better choice than Percy.

  9. Definately Derek, percy sounds kind of like a nerd name and a little old fashion!

  10. Derek- From the old German Theodoric, meaning "people's ruler". It occurs in the 15th century but has only become popular in the last century. Its fall from favour between these two periods is attributed to a notorious 17th century hangman of that name. Variants of the recently revived are Deryk, Deric and the Dutch form Dirk, popularised by the actor Dirk Bogarde. Pet forms are Derry, Rick, Rickie and Del or Dell.

Percy- This famous northern family is decended from William di Percy, one of William the Conqueror's companions who took his name from a Norman village. Initially its use as a first name was confined to those connected with the Percy family, but in the 19th century it came into general use, partly due to the poet, Percy Bysshe Shelley. It shares the short form Perce with Perceval and is also a short form of this name.

  16. dEfinItlY DereK..Percy sOunds sO g*y!

  17. Derek. When I hear the name Percy it reminds me of the movie 'Norbit' lol.

  18. Well: here's my opinions.

Percy is in Harry Potter which is always a plus.  But he will probably made fun of.

    Derek is a nice name.

    I'd go with Derek.

  19. Derek is more of a young man's name, and he won't harrassed, but I'm afraid if you were to name your son Percy, he might get hurt from the other kids, it might not be pysically, but possibly mentally, Percy would be pretty for a little girl.but mam its entirely up to you, the kids nowadays can be so cruel sometimes, sometimes not meaning to be, but it would still hurt the child's feelings!

  20. neither one. sorry! however, between the two, i'd say derek. percy? like percy weasley?

  21. Derek. Percy is such a bad name. My friend's sons name is Pierce if you like that idea.

  22. I'd prefer <<Derek>>. Percy seems like a girl name, though I know it's not.

  23. Derek

Percy reminds me of a rich pompous man while derek reminds me of a handsome nice loving man

  24. Neither...................

  25. definitely derek!!!!!!!!!!

  26. Derek, spelled Darrick. Percy is kind of cute, but sounds feminine & I couldn't see a grown man wanting to be called Percy.

  27. Depends on what you apply the name to.

    Derek is a human boy.

    Percy is a cat.

  28. Percy
