I prefer the name Emily. My step-daughter's name is Emily and I think it's beautiful to hear and write.

not emily, WAY too common. i like edith, but not as much as elaine, eleanor, or ella =]

Emily is the most used name for 6 years running in the U.S. so I wouldn't use it. Edith is pretty and will work nice for a child or an adult.

Definately Emily. Edith isn't a name that is used anymore, especially in the generationt that your kid would probably be born into. But, if you want to make it unique, why not spell emily and different way. Below are some suggestions.
