They sound good together; for example, Michael Edward Stone.

both are so common.... I like the sound of Michael more, but so many people have that name.  Edward I don't like as much, but I guess it is a little more unique.

Both I like, Both are traditional, classic, and masculine!

Ed, Eddy, Mike, Mikey make cute nick names for a kid too.  Fits the boy throughout his lifetime.  Can't be said for the Aiden, Caden c**p.

If I had to pick I'd pick Michael
