I'd personally prefer Ella.  Its kute and short. Martha is so old and it reminds me of some storybook with some hippo and its wife names martha. can't really remember the name.. but yeah.. for sure Ella is nice.

Honestly, I think Ella and Martha BOTH sound like old lady names. I really don't get the popularity of the name Ella.  When I was a kid, I knew a couple of Ella's and they were both around 80.

oh my goodness! ELLA! Martha is way too old fashioned. I would never name a little girl that, it would not be fair to her.

I know a 20 year old named Martha and she HATES her name.
