Which name is better Chris or Brandon?

I prefer Chris (with the full name being Christopher) out of the two you listed.  Christopher is at least a classic, timeless name.  Brandon is a name that started to get very trendy around 30 years ago, but it has had its peak and it on its way back out of fashion again.  If you are going to be part of a trend, you don't want to be on the tail end of it.

Chris reminds me of some obese kid I knew, so I think I'll go with brandon...But that's up to you not to the public, I mean I wouldn't like it if I asked my mom how they chose my name and they would say, "We asked it in Yahoo Answers and then we chose what the public said" =.="

I would personally say Chris is better because your child will be able too learn how to write their name faster and Chris is nice and short for a boys name. Also, you can teach your child to write Chris on his papers or write Christopher, which ever you prefer. Also, Chris is a cute and nice short baby boy name.

By just going by people I know with those names:

Brandon's are really unique guys, they are friendly, and work hard.

Chris's like to be the center of attention but it's not always a bad thing because they are very friendly and loyal.

Depends on the kid/person. I associate the name Brandon with ugly/down syndrome looking kids/people.  Chris is just the average person.  My advice to you, if your naming a kid, if the kid is ugly, name him Brandon!
