  1. Personally, I think that choosing a name should be based on more than just how it sounds, or what is popular.  I've always thought that the meaning of a person's name has a profound effect on the person that they become.

When I checked my name dictionary, I got meanings for 3 of the names:

    Dylan-- "sea"

    Justice or Justus-- "just, honest"

    Breyden--?

    Colton--?

Henry-- "ruler of the home, rich lord"

I like the meaning of Justice, though I might go with the alternate spelling.  The meaning of Henry could be good, too.

It's also good to take into account how the names work with the surname.

And if you give a less-common name as the child's first name, you might want to give a common name choice for the middle name (and vice-versa), so that the child can have an alternate choice later in life if he doesn't like the initial choice.   Concerns about how masculine or feminine a name sounds should also be taken into account for a boy, since he'll be stuck with the name (most likely) for his whole life.

I'd vote for Justus (or Henry).

  2. Justice.

  3. I like dylan considering it is my name

  4. One mistake that parents make in deciding how to name their children is not taking into account the final effects.  Will he be constantly having to correct people who mistake his name for something else or misspell it?  Is the name going to be a source of irritation?  How will it end up when it is shortened into a nickname, as people tend to do ("Dyl"? "Jus"? "Brey"? "Colt"? "Hank"?).  The best guide is to ignore trendy names, cutesy names, family traditions, and the like, and ask how the recipient of the name will feel about it, as both a child and later an adult ("Apple"??? Now really!!!) then let conscience rule.

  5. Dylan

  6. Breyden

a Colton is sure to be nicknamed Condom at school

  7. Henry!

  8. justice it is kind of unusual and unique.

perhaps, nowadays colton, dylan, breyden and especially henry

are very common. However, if you try to use common names sometimes you will have problems on birth certificates or whatsoever!

  9. breyden

  10. Dylan makes me think of Rugrats - thumbs down.

Justice sounds more like a girl's name - thumbs down.

Breyden is unique, but I have no idea how to pronounce it, and his teachers probably won't either (it's damaging, really) - thumbs down.

Colton is my favorite of the list, even though it makes me think of horses. :] - thumbs up.

Henry is classic but kind of boring - undecided thumbs.

  11. I like Breyden, it's unique and sounds brave and tough.

But I would probably go with a name like, Connor or Evan, or Mark, or Cameron. Names that you hear around but isn't THAT common, you know?

But it's your choice, out of those, I like Breyden

  20. They are all terrible except for Dylan. Go ahead and name him after a great musician and a great poet. What would be the downside?

  21. henry is too common ! Justice gives a very deep meaning and i guess it will be too unusual for a name.  colton is a brand of a product. The name Dylan sounds very mature and at the same time its suitable for a child! Breyden is definitely an uncommon name but it sounds good and new.  soo in my opinion , go for Breyden or Dylan !.. both are equally good ! :D

  22. Justice is better because its a very meaningful and unique name :)
