  1. Albus Severus.

i think the name Renesmee is cute, and original. not that Albus Sererus isn't, but i just find that one weird. I think if Bella would have used Renesmee's middle name for her first name it wouldn't draw as much attention, but i still love the the name Renesmee Carlie Cullen.

  2. Hahaha! I love you, I remember thinking the same thing.

As to which is worse, its hard to say. Albus Severus, both names end in "us" which just makes it even funnier. But that one guy is right, it does have an orgin.

Renesmee, that named bugged the heck out of me. Two names mashed together in the most unflattering way. And is sounds horrible, if you ask me.

I think Albus Severus is worse though.

  3. Both are horrible but I have to say that Renesmee is much worse. At least Harry and Ginny didn't make him Alberus or Severbus.

  4. Renesmee sort of sounds like a sound you'd make if you were to sneeze suddenly.

That being said, Albus Severus isn't exactly the most common name on the attendance list either.

  5. Renesmee is much worse, simply because it is two names mashed together.  It is a Frankenstein's monster of a name and it really isn't creative.  In my opinion, it takes much more thought to choose a mature name that will suit both an adult and a child than it does to slap together two names as one and say "There!  Now my kid's unique!"

At least Albus and Severus have origins and history, no matter how odd they seem to you.  Both names are Latin; Albus means white, and Severus means severe.

Also, Albus Severus has the adorable nickname Al.  How can you resist?

  6. I'm always late answering the good questions, all the good stuff has been said and done. Renesmee is a horrible name, much worse than Albus Severus. I admire Harry for naming his child after two of the people he felt the most gratitude for. Especially since Snape had given him such a hard time all of six and a  half years.

And to whoever said there are no nicknames for it, there are. Someone already mentioned Al, and there's also Sev. Not to mention Snivellus :)

Loch Ness would have been a lot better than Renesmee.

(ditto Why so Serious? E about the whole melting at Al's description. Lily's eyes!)

  7. Renesmee, totally.

Although both are pretty crappy, in my opinion.

Like KT-chan said, at least Harry and Ginny didn't mash them together.

Haha, KT-chan, Alberus and Severbus...see, that's why you're one of my best friends. :3 Hehe, that's gonna make me chuckle for weeks to come....

  8. I love Dumbledore and Snape so I have to say Renesmee. At least with Albus Severus you can have a nickname; Al, which Harry Ginny and James all call him by. With Renesmee you don't have that.

  9. In defense of Renesmee, at least you can do nicknames. What would you call poor little baby Albus Severus? Alby? Sever?

Plus, at least you're not mixing two completely opposite characters. Renesmee, I must admit, could've been better- but come on? to Albus Severus?

Either way, two kids who's names aren't likely to go too well on the playground. Then again... considering their parent, one might levitate you the other could simply rip your throat out

  10. Renesmee. Made up names fail at life.

Albus and Severus are at least legitimate names, even though they were only used back when Latin was still the lingua franca, and maybe for some time after that.

  11. hahhaa!

Although the names are odd and I feel lack creativity, I respect the names the author gave them.

  12. Renesmee, it just sounds weird... (I agree with the first comment...)

  13. Renesmee. It's horrible. It doesn't flow, it looks gross on paper, and it's terribly unoriginal. Sure, Albus Severus isn't the most normal of names, but it was a better way of naming your child after two different people, rather than just smooshing them together in one big disgusting tongue-twister of a name. Albus Severus sounds much better than Salbus would have, and I think Esme Renee would have been a perfectly acceptable name choice.

  14. haha !

well..i actually dont hate the name renesmee...like it sounds cute-ish but the way it looks on paper isn't too flattering..but it is clever.

and idk where albus severus is from....

but i'm going to have to say albus serverus is worse.

  15. Wow.  This is pretty tough...on one hand, Renesmee is just a mouthful and is the stupidest mixing of names I've ever heard.  On the other, Albus Severus doesn't really flow together.  So I suppose Renesmee is worse.

  16. Renesmee - it sounds just plain awkward off the tongue. Albus Severus has a ring to it at least, and is separated to make it much easier to say. In fact, Albus Severus is rather catchy. But Renesmee...no. It's unoriginal, even if you think it's cute to mash two names together. Lack of imagination here!

  17. albus severus. lol theyre both really bad!

  18. Renesmee actually grew on me.  I wasn't a fan at first but as that little girl grew on me, so did the name.

When I read Albus Severus...I mean, I know it has sentimental value and such, but really.  If that kid wasn't a wizard in a sea of really weird names *coughScorpiuscough* he would totally get beat up.

  19. Albus Serverus!!! + Renesmee is unique and its very cute, i dnt get the name Albus though

  20. Renesme.

Albus Severus is weird, but at least it has a potent meaning behind it. It was meant to honor Snape and Dumbledore's memories. It has a history and background; it incorporated Harry's gratitude to Snape and Dumbledore both. It was a fitting name, I thought. And I about melted when I read the name simply because AS was the one with Lily's eyes :). Aw. So cute.

Anyways. "Renesmee" is supposed to have meaning, but it's lame. It's a bad hashing of two already bad names (Esme and Renee?!). I agree with the person who said it sounds like something you'd say while sneezing. And saying it just doesn't sound right-- it doesn't flow. Your mouth moves in a strange way when you say it. It just doesn't feel or sound right. It's not a flattering name.

  21. Albus Severus - 100% Worse.

I respect anything Edward, And Bella, Decide. (:

    their little baby, renesmee.
