  1. nolan is a kick *** name! like the baseball player nolan ryan... plus you can spell it easily and its not weird like the name apple...

    its not girly at all..

  2. nolan is adorable..i wouldnt go with liam because its differant.

my name is distinee (prounounced destiny)

but people always mis-pronounce it..it can be a hassle and it annoying

    ;)

  3. I love the name Liam David. Nolan may occasionally be mistaken for a girls name and there is nothing wrong with it except for this but I personally prefer Liam David :)

  4. I like Nolan David a 100 times better. It sounds more manly than Liam. Nolan is very cute.

  5. I love the name Nolan because it is less popular than Liam, and you wouldn't want your son to have the same name as 4 other kids in his class. I also know a couple who's sons are Gavin and Nolan. My granfdather's name is Nolan and has resented his parents for naming him that. He hates the name and it is often misspelled Noland. You might want to take these into consideration, but my vote would definitely have to go to Nolan. Congratulations and best of wishes.

  6. Nolan David is def. the best to grow up with...like others, I've never heard Nolan used for a girl

    **hope i helped**

  7. I like Nolan. When I hear that name I think of baseball hall-of-famer Nolan Ryan.

  8. i dont really like eaither but if i did have to chose it would be Nolan David. I wouldnt even ever think about it as a girls name!

  9. i like nolan better than liam.. i personally dont like liam very much.

  10. I'm very, very glad you're asking this question. :D Most people don't care that their kids names will get left in the dirt when they're older than 5.

But honestly, both names would work just fine on children and adults. Nolan does has more of a mature sound to it though, so I'd go for that one.

Liam is actually quite popular and the spelling is pretty phonetic, so pronunciation wouldn't be a problem. And why in the world would people think Nolan is a girls name?! I hope to God that this isn't becoming part of the "boys names on girls" trend. D: Nolan is masculine, strong, and completely appropriate for a little boy.

Either Liam David or Nolan David would be wonderful and easy to grow up with, so either one you choose will be fine. :]

  11. I don't like either of them, but Gavin & Liam sound great together. They fit perfectly. Liam is becoming a very common name so I don't think that there would be a pronunciation problem or a spelling problem. Nolan is a guy's name, why would anyone think otherwise? Especially since the only Nolan I've ever heard of was the famous baseball player Nolan Ryan.

  12. Liam shouldn't be hard to pronounce and the spelling shouldn't be a problem. I like Liam David much more with Gavin.

  13. Gavin and Liam is better than Gavin and Nolan, but Nolan David is better than Liam David. I would pronounce Liam like lee-uhm...hard to describe lol. I would say Nolan is a boy's name. I've never heard it before but I like it :)

  14. Nolan David would be perfect. Nolan isn't a girl's name, I think any girl named Nolan is going to grow up butch lol, soorry if I offend anyone. Think of Nolan Ryan, he was such a great baseball player. Congrats and good luck!

  15. LOVE NOLAN DAVID

  16. They're both fine.

Liam makes me think of Qui-gon Jin from Star Wars, Rob Roy, and Oscar Schindler. (Liam Neason played them)

Nolan makes me think of Christipher Nolan, who directed Batman.

  17. I LOVE:

    Gavin & Nolan

They just fit so well together!!! When I said them together, they just sounded like brothers. I don't think Nolan sounds too feminine at all.

    Very nice!!

    = )

  18. Definetly Liam over Nolan.  Best of luck!

  19. I really like Nolan David.  Also, I went to high school w/ a guy named Nolan.  In fact, Nolan IS a boys name...never heard it used for a girl.

    Hope I've helped :-)
