Which name would you prefer for a cosmetics company?

I'm starting a little mineral makeup store online, probably through Etsy. It'll be mostly eyeshadows, lip glosses and blushes; no foundation or anything like that. I want the labels to be classy and sophisticated but a little bit playful. Right now I'm considering three names:

Luire (This means sparkle or glitter in French. Most of my eyeshadows are quite sparkly!)

Flame (Plain old English; it suggests the glittery shadows again, but was also a reference to what some people call a boyfriend or girlfriend, your "flame")

Cygne (It means swan in French; I was going to put the silhouettes of two kissing swans on the label, because it makes a sort of interesting heart shape.)

Thanks for your help! I'll give you all the address when I pick an answer :)

  1. Luire

  2. I like either Luire or Cygne... I like the name "Luire" over "Cygne", but your idea with the swans is really cool!

Can you put up the link to your site on Etsy one you put it up? I'd love to see it - I love Etsy!!!

  3. defff luire.

  4. the first one

    i like the name alott

    :))

  5. I love Luire its very pretty and I would buy it! Please let me know when you get it up:)!!!

  6. Why not Luire Cygne and have two somewhat shimmery swams kissing?

That sounds like a good name to me :]

  7. the first one is cool;

  8. i like the first one because it sounds light and people like light make-up.

  9. luire sounds the best, but the cygne heart thingy seems like a better idea, plus swans look more sophisticated than just glitter as a logo.

  10. Luire definitely, it has a elegant and flowing sound too it. Flame sounds like a brand of cheap makeup you'd get at a halloween store or hot topic. Cygne sounds like a mutant experiment.

  11. i really like the name luire!

it's quite classy and easy to remember!

i like cygne too, but i think some people might have a hard time pronouncing it which could be a problem.

    good luck! :)

  12. i personally LOVE the name "Luire" for a makeup company. (though i may be biased, i take french in my school and i think everything in french is pretty, haha) i like the label of the silhouettes for cygne, but im not sure abut the name.  i think they all sound very nice though, and good luck with your mineral makeup line, maybe i'll get some when you finally do it?
