Which night shot is better, panasonic or sony?

hi, which version of night shot is better sony's or panasonic's, im planning on buying another panasonic mini dv camera with night shot.

but i have older sony night shot cameras. whos is better or are they the same.

i know on my current panasonic camera it has magicpix which is very bad and choppy is this what panasonics night vision is i hope not.

i think both
