  2. We had a problem with the AR too what we did was 2 things...at 1st cut the nipple a very Little with a knife and that didn't always work so we got a little strainer and if there is too many things at the bottom of the strainer put it back in and shake more and strain it again because you don't want to take out the rice you just want to unclump it. Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be when they cant get anything out of it and when its all stuck at the top of the nipple!

  3. I use enfamil AR too for my son and he seems to be able to use the size one or stage one nipples just fine. You can try a size two if you want to but my son has not been able to handle it just yet and it comes out too fast. If that is the case for you then I would try some different bottles. I use the normal cheap kind since that is all he will use. Also you can try cutting the nipple open a bit more. But becareful when you do this since they cut really easy and you could cut to big of a hole.

  4. try switching stage nipples on the bottle, with my son i used platex disposible, and i used stage 2 to start and stage 3 after 6 months! hope this helps!

  5. had the same problem.  we were using dr. brown's bottles and just went up a nipple stage, then he did fine. so at 2 months of age he was using a stage 3 nipple, seems kind of big but using smaller nipples he'd get so tired out trying to suck on his bottle that he's fall asleep and never finish one.
