suprised you the most in this season???

Ferrari (Felipe Massa - Mr Mistake - I haven's seen any driver making so many mistakes in this season) and McLaren (Heikki Kovalainen - big dissapoitment, he's got the same car as Hamilton but 1/2 of his points) are strong we know that.

For Me BMW is outstanding this year. They can really make a surpise (especially Kubica).

On plus Mark Webber from Red Bull-Renault but big minus for David Coulthard.

  1. kubica is a beautiful surprise!: excellent driver and...... intelligent man. About felipe massa i can say that here in italy he's really criticized.

  2. well Robert Kubica was a bit of surprise...Mark Webber was a brilliant surprise for every one at silverstone...i was looking forward to see him at the podum :-(  ....bad luck...

But Massa was the biggest surprise as you said but for the team ferrari who may have been cursing their luck for signing an contract with him which expires only art the end of 2010...heikki could be given 1 more chance as some drivers need some time to get acquintated with a new team and car...

  3. I love Hamilton but I'm still surprised that he didn't see that red light!

  4. BMW are the 'improvers' of the season. Coming back from their large accident at Montreal last year was to be expected. Kubica has been my driver of the year so far, i will forgive him for his less than impressive outing at Silverstone, as he was due a weekend where Heidfeld showed him who was boss. He was beautiful to watch, quite Prost-like.

Its is a shame (but understandable) that Williams didn't take them up on buying into their team, as they'd be such an exciting prospect now.

Here's hoping the rest of the season is half as good!

  5. It has to be Kubica, 1 point behind the top three at half way has to be one of the surprises of the season so far. Can't wait to see what unfolds for the rest of the season!

  6. Surprising in what sense? ANyway:

Nick Heidfeld: for being way off the pace of Kubica most of this season. Kubica may have gained this advantage with his weight loss. But I thought Nick wouldn't be that far behind

Massa: Loads of yoyo performances. Good for a few races then going pear shaped again before having another spectacular weekend

Heikki: Most disappointing driver so far. I expected him to be closer to HAmilton but he just hasn't. And tht pole at Silverstone.... he let Hamilton pass him on lap 5. It didn't even look like he was trying hard to defend his position

  7. I didn't think that Kubica would be consistantly much better than Heidfeld.

Force India has been really fast this year. This is a very relative statement. Relative to Minardi and  Spyker. I didn't think that they had spent much on development. During races they are not the slowest car on the track, and they do not look like they should be racing F3 instead.

Webber was always fast, it is surprising that he is not somehow breaking his car every race.

I didn't think that Vettel would be so much better than Bourdais.

Honda an Toyota have been terrible. I didn't think that they'd be this bad.

Rosberg is really fast. That is no suprise, but it is a suprise that Nakajima gets close to him sometimes.

  8. i think adrian sutil has really proved himself a good driver this season.

such a shame about kimi raikkonen taking him out though.

in the interview afterwards, he looked as if he was going to cry!

  9. For me Massa making mistakes is no surprise - he was accident prone at Sauber, having an equally terrible British Grand Prix in 2002. I expected Lewis to outshine Heikki but perhaps not so much, and I don't think he has done so much as Heikki has had some pretty bad luck, but then again, Lewis had Montreal and Magny Cours. I think Toyota are a bit of a pleasant surprise, and the fact that Alonso has managed to get the maximum out of the Renault.

  10. Dissapointments would be Massa and Heikki Kovalainen

Massa has made many mistakes during this F1 season espeacially the last race with 6 spins! but i guess hes better on the dry ;P

Heikki as you said has the same car as Hamilton but cant do anything with it; but i think hes gonna improve and go quicker throught out the season

    Surprises are Kubica and Webber

Kubica has been amazing this year and what an improvement to come back from that crash and now have a car that are as fast as Ferrari's and McLaren; but Nick can do better.

Webber has been really good and that 2nd place qualifying really impressed me but too bad that he couldnt do well in the race =P but over all hes been consistant all season

Also Alonso what he can do with that renault; he really drives it well and is always up there; hes an awesome driver

And Toyota has always been up there..maybe next year you'll see them contending for wins and points

  11. fisichella suprised me on still being in f1 after disappointing year after year

  12. .

Sutil surprised me at Monaco, but was unfortunately surprised by KR.

Barricello surprised last week at Silverstone. You beauty Rubens!!!

    .

  13. I would say Robert Kubica emerged as a very charismatic strong driver...and has put Nick Heidfield in the shadows.....Massa fighting for the championship with Kimi having to catch up sometimes was unexpected.....but overall....BMW-Sauber were the biggest surprise....and Renault being the biggest dissappointment despite all Fernando's efforts....which of course gives him the credit for being such a talented driver....

  14. Mark Webber, yeah. Robert Kubica didn't surprised me, because I knew he could be a good pilot. Heikki Kovalainen? Yes, he is a very disappointment. Massa is a good pilot, according to me. He did some mistakes, but everyone do them.
