Which of Ireland's government parties share similar values with the American Democratic party?

I have family in Ireland and always hear about Sinn Fein, Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, etc but I only hear about them and don't know what they stand for.

What I'm trying to figure out, is which party holds the most liberal and democratic views and/or has any parallels with the values of the American Democratic party.
