Question:

Which of McCain's alternatives as running mate would have been a better pick than Palin?

And if the answer is none, then why would she not have been prominent on the Republican radar before McCain announced her?

Could it be because almost no one saw her as having the credentials or experience to merit the job?

  1. I couldn't have said this better myself.......http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/2008083...

  2. Romney, but I can understand a Pres not wanting a VP they did not get along wirh, much like Obama not picking Hillary.

Rush brought up Palin as a VP a few months ago. I researched her at the time and like what I saw.

  3. It wouldn't have mattered who he picked because you people would have slammed that choice too.  I think he did a fabulous job of selecting his running mate and that fact is very evident, based on the outcry by the liberals here in Y!A.

My respect for McCain has doubled as a result of picking Palin and I find it hilarious that you people have done nothing but focus on her since that announcement was made, an indicator of fear.  You see, if it didn't matter, we'd be listening for days on end about Obama's coronation.

Btw, have I pointed out the hypocrisy of the left...........

  4. the choice was mccains not yours or mine

  5. Any of them would have been better. Hate to say.

  6. I wanted Lieberman...by Palin is a great pick too...like it is said in Football a great “hail mary” move… great moment in history … the first female VP will be Republican..THEN the first female president will be also Republican ..her!

...and  ...she has DONE things that Obama dreams of doing.... like against after her OWN party on corruption.…when if EVER obama has done the same in the highly corrupt Democrat party uh?...I say she is more for change than obama is...she has DONE it! Look it up!

  7. I think Mike Huckabee would have been a better pick. Huckabee would have influenced the evangelical vote as well as the anti-abortionists and pro-gun. His experience as Governor of a state with a much larger population than that of Alaska would surely have made more sense plus he has name recognition. McCain's purpose was purely a gamble to get himself elected, an attempt to draw on disgruntled Hillary supporters. I think Hillary herself will be pointing this out from now til Nov.

  8. Not only is she not qualified to be VP...what about the idea of her being president? Yikes!

  9. You could ask the same question about Obama, before Obama decided to run no one thought he had the credentials or experience to merit the job.

  10. The governor of Florida, Charlie Crist.

  11. Kay Bailey Hutchison would've been a better female choice.

  12. Anyone who ran against McCain and did not bad-mouth him would have been fine.  Jindal from Louisiana would have been fine.

This was a colossal surprise and it has me dancing in the streets, so eat your heart out.
