  1. NL

East: Phillies. They have past their slumps and should have a hot September. Mets won’t be even close to them when the season ends. Strength: Hitting. Weakness: the pitching is good enough in regular season, not good enough in post season.

Central: Cubs. Strength: complete team. Weakness: nothing.

West: D-back. As long as Webb is there to win games. Dodgers are simply too inconsistency to catch them. It might be a close one though depends on if Dodgers can get hot in the final month. Strength: Webb. Weakness: other than Webb.

Wildcard: Brewers. Strength: complete team. Weakness: Cubs.

    AL

East: Rays. They surprised me and many others. It seems that they are pulling further away from Redsox everyday makes me believe they are the team to beat. Strength: young and ruthless. Weakness: experience.

Central: White Sox. AL central is from a “should be the strongest division” become the weakest. Anyway they are the most consistent team in the division so they should win it. Strength: Consistency. Weakness: not much of strength.

West: Angels. The cubs in AL. Strength: complete all around team. Weakness: non.

Wildcard: Redsox. It is a disappointing season even they make it in the playoff. I hope they do better in the playoffs. Strength: good all around team. Weakness: too much fuss from the fans.

  2. I predict the following:

    NL

Mets - Can outlast the Phillies but it will be close.

Cubs - Already far in front

D'Backs - will squeak past the Dodgers in a weak division.

Brewers - will just out last the Phillies for the Wild Card.

    AL

Angels - Easily take that division

    Rays - it's their year

White Sox - too much power ..Minn will come close

    Red Sox - Wild Card

  3. Cubs

    Phillies

    D-Backs

W.C. Brewers- leave too many players on base, great pitching

    Rays

    White Sox

    Angels

W.C. Red Sox - Too many injuries

Angels beat the Cubs in the World Series

  4. cubs: great hitting and occasionally great pitching dodgers: power hitting good feilding but wont advance past first round due to their poor pitching phillies: their amazingly strong batters willl overcome the amount home runs hit off of there pitching mets: good pitching staff clutch hitting deep lineup healthy team

rays: always find ways to score runs when they are needed young pitching staff usually contains the other team to only 2 or 3 runs a game red sox: even without manny they continue to score a lot of runs and although the occasional struggles happen a good pitching staff with lester beckett and matsuzaka angels: great pitching staff and with teixera added to there team they can score more runs then they did before the the transaction twins: seem to have a lot of momentum they can drive them paat the white sox

  5. NL East Phillies: The Mets bullpen is killing them right now, but if Rollins is still in his slump by the middle of September idk.

NL Central Cubs: I don't see any weaknesses with the Cubs right now: there deep at almost every position and they have a great rotation/bullpen, right now its the Cubs division to lose.

NL West Diamondback: It won't be pretty but I just can't see the Dodgers being able to keep up. If their pitching gives out on them, then I will have to reconsider my answer.

NL Wild Card Brewers: The Brewers have power, pitching, the only thing holding them from winning this divison is a bad bullpen. If the bullpen blows more saves down the road, then this spot will belong to the Cardinals.

AL East Rays: They have a great pitching staff, bullpen, and they get timely hitting (especially from Pena and who knows how much better they will be when they get Longoria back). Their inexperience could be their downfall however.

AL Central White Sox: This road trip is going to put this division out of reach for the Twins. The Sox have hitting, a decent bullpen and a good starting rotation. This division is theirs to lose.

AL West Angels: There is no flaw with this team. Great bullpen (see K-Rod), they get contributions from everyone in their starting rotation (Santana, Lackey, Garland, Saunders, etc.). The only problem could be if their bats go out in the playoff, because they have this division wrapped up.

AL Wild Card Red Sox: Red Sox are too good not to be in the playoffs, great lineup and depth. They have a good rotation (maybe becomes mediocre if Beckett's injury is more serious). They have a great 9th inning bullpen (Papelbon) but they do have a lot of trouble getting to him without blowing the lead for him. That could lead to their downfall

  6. AL West - Angels - The most complete team in the AL.  Great pitching, solid starting lineup.  Their weakness would probably have to be their depth.

AL Central - White Sox - I really wish I could say the Twins here, but I think the White Sox hold on by a narrow margin.  The Sox have a high powered offense and 2 young players carrying this teams load.  Their weakness would be their starting pitching staff and Konerko and Thome (right now they're playing well, but before Griffey came over these 2 didn't belong in the lineup).

AL East - Rays - They're a good young team that has great team chemistry and plays very good small ball to produce runs.  They can also play a bit of the power game as well, especially when Crawford and Longoria are in the lineup.  Their weakness would have to be their lack of experience.

AL Wild Card - Red Sox - This has pretty much been the team to beat this decade.  They've consistently made the playoffs and are a tough team to beat come playoff time.  Their weakness is probably their starting rotation if anything.  Josh Beckett just isn't pitching like he's capable and he's the teams ace.  Beckett has been the Red Sox savior in the playoffs and without him pitching his best I don't see the Red Sox going far.

NL West - Dodgers - They've made too many moves to not make a run at the Dbacks and I think this division comes down to the wire with the Dodgers barely edging the Dbacks.  The Dodgers have a good mixture of young players (Ethier, Kemp, Loney) and seasoned veterans (Manny, Kent, Penny, Maddux).  Their weakness would probably have to be the amount of youth and inexperience that they have.  I don't see how they haven't just blown by the Dbacks with the team they have but they're definately taking this down to the wire.

NL Central - Cubs - The most complete team in the NL and quite possibly the entire league.  They have great team chemistry, depth, pitching and offense.  They can never be counted out of games no matter the score and they're next to impossible to beat at home.  Not just because I'm a fan but because I really believe it, I don't see much weakness on this team.

NL East - Mets - The Phillies just don't have the pitching to compete for the division or the Wild Card.  they have to rely on their offense to win them games.  The Mets are a great team that Jerry Manuel has finally got running together.  Offensively they can hang with anyone, but their weakness is their pitching, both starting and bullpen.  While they have a better staff then the Phillies I don't see the Mets staff carrying them far through the playoffs.

NL Wild Card - Brewers - The 2nd most complete team in the NL.  They have a high powered offense that is capable of putting up 8 runs every game.  While the addition of CC Sabathia was huge for them, their pitching staff still has question marks and their bullpen is pretty much garbage.  This is also why CC has pitched 5 complete games since coming to the Brewers.  Are the Brewers running CC into the ground by making him throw so many pitches on his days to pitch?  Will he have enough steam left in him to help this team through October?

  7. All I am going to say is the Yankees are going to make the playoffs.  Yeah I know you all think I'm insane, but guess what - They're 7 games out from the Wild Card with a month left in the season.  People think they can't make up 7 games in a month? Think again.  They're just starting a series with the Blue Jays, and they are going to beat the h**l out of them tonight.

Watch out for my Yankees.  They are gonna come back with the Wild Card for the American League.

  8. NL East- Mets will win by 3 games and make the playoffs!

NL Central- Duh, the cubs by 10 games.

NL West- Rockies, mark my words they are good.

    WC- Brewers

    AL East- Rays

    AL Central- Twins

    AL West- Angels

    WC- Boston

    Cubs over rays.

  9. cubs cards mets dbacks

white sox red sox rays and Angels
