    All of the options describe types of regions that are used very commonly.  A landform region would be the Great Lakes or the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  A religious and cultural region would be the Middle East; on the basis of geography alone, one might exclude Egypt or Turkey from the grouping.  A political region would be the western part of Essex County, New Jersey, known locally as "West Essex," which is defined by the boundaries of specific towns in the county.
