  1. Is he upset because employees are not taking care of business, loafing etc. if so he has a right to be upset.  If he is just having a bad day then number 1 is your best bet.

  2. Apologize for the delay and hope it will shut him up.

  3. if you like your job... grin and bare it... if not:

    Spit in the dudes food

    Overcharge him

    forget his fries

    give mustard instead of catsup

    no napkins

break the straw before giving it to him

Smile and say "Thank you for coming, sorry bout the wait... Please come again"

  4. apologize and if you have a sec, get managers attention.

  5. I would say probably a mix of both. I would start by apologizing to the person, and let them know that you will do everything you can to see that they get served soon.

If the person is still irate, then I would bring it to my manager's attention, and perhaps the manager could give them a coupon for a free meal next time, or something similar to make sure they come back and give the place another try.

  6. Both. Acknowledge him politelY, but if he remains beligerent, let your manager or supervisor know, and he/she will take appropriate action.

  7. Smile even tho you aren't happy.  Nothing you say will make any difference.  Some people are just going to ruin everyone else's day.  .
