  1. d

  2. d all matter has mass

  3. "d" evidently. If gases did not have any weight, there would be no pressure.

  4. d, gasses are not weightless

  5. d. gases are weightless near the surface of the earth.

       Can't be true.

Nothing is weightless near the surface of the earth, the weight of oxygen is what holds it on the planet.  That goes for nitrogen and even hydrogen.  Hydrogen and Helium are both lighter than air gases, but they still have mass and so weight.

    a.  Compressing gases is how refrigerator systems work.

    b.  If you mix most things they diffuse into each other; water and oil products are one of the few exceptions.

    c.  The pressure of the explosion of gas inside a piston is how an internal combustion engine works.  Barometric pressure or air pressure is the pressure of our atmosphere gases on the planet and falling air pressure means the weather is likely to get worse since cold air is heavier and therefore puts more pressure on the earth.

    e.  Gases do have low densities or they wouldn't float.
