  1. The oxidation number of Ti (lll) is +3 and the oxidation number of sulfide (S) is -2.  So cross over and you have Ti2S3


  2. Ti2S3... Sulfur is -2, Ti is +3, so you just drop those numbers down/across, getting Ti2S3
