    A malachite green counterstain gives a blue-green background cast to the surrounding tissue.


  2. First question:  C (it's believed to have been a prokaryotic cell that developed a symbiotic relationship with another organism... look up the endosymbiotic theory)

    second question;  D (the cell would be green because that's the color malachite green and gram reaction doesn't matter unless you're doing a gram stain which uses crystal violet and safranin)

  3. I know the first question is definitely C--mitochondria have their own DNA (maternal DNA)

    and the symbiotic theory says that eukaryotic cells came from mutual parasitism of prokaryotic cells (one lived inside the other).
