  1. B:   because ionic bonds form between metals and non metals like oxygen and magnesium (they have somewhat big electronegativity difference which makes the bond ionic)

in A oxygen and nitrogen are both non metals less differnce in electronegativity so covalnt bond

in C krypton is one of the rare gases it is stable and doesn't need to form bonds neither ionic nor covalent...

Atoms form bonds to become more stable (become similar to the rare gases like helium krypton argon etc..)

    hope i helped

  2. oxygen and magnesium because of their difference in electronegativity.

  3. B. A metal and a nonmetal; an element with very high electronegativity and another with very low.

  4. B. oxygen and magnesium.

Ionic bonds are formed by one metal element (magnesium in this case), and one non-metal (oxygen).  The metal element loses electrons and becomes a positive ion (a "cation"), in this case its charge is 2+.  The nonmetal gains electrons to become negatively charged.  In this case, oxygen's charge becomes 2-.

  5. B. oxygen (nonmetal) and magnesium (metal)
