  1. Is this a poll?!?!?!?!?!

You downshift as far as you can over and over, and floor the e brake, honk at people if they are in front of you, and go down the LEFT shoulder if possible on a divided highway or way, way to the right.

Turning the vehicle off will lose power steering which makes it nearly imposible to drive

  2. Downshift, then pull the e-break gently and if necessary, turn of the ignition but not all the way to the "off" position where it will end up disengaging your steering mechanism.

  3. Down shift, yank up the e-brake then pray.

After you stop safely, smack yourself upside the head for driving an unmaintained pile of junk.

  4. B, down shift. Pull on your emergency brake gently, not hard as that may lock the rear wheels and cause you to lose control. Pump the brake pedal up and down as quickly as you can: this may bring some pressure back into the system, and provide some residual braking. Note the other comments about colliding with something soft, preferably a grass banking !

Hope it never happens to you !

  5. Brake failure is proof that you should NEVER tailgate a vehicle ahead of you---if you can't stop and you are too close--the ONLY result is a collision. A little space gives you a second or two to think---the only thing to do is" NOT "shut off the car---you will lose the steering----blow the horn and try to collide with something soft---or rub a curb---a tree is better than a light pole---a guard rail is better to rub against-as opposed to another car. Minimize the damages---always have your seat belt on--you never know what will happen...or when it will happen. THINK and drive defensively

  6. B. Downshift. Then look for something soft to hit or ride a wall until you stop. You could also try using your parking brake, as that's mechanical instead of hydraulic. It really won't help you if you over heated your brakes and they faded away

  7. down shift and look for something cheap my hubby always said I happened to me I had a Volkswagen no brakes but it was a stick I down shifted and slowly went off the Right side of the road then shut off the key and let out the clutch which stopped the engine by killing it car then I drove it home using the clutch to stop my friend was amazed

  8. Pull the e-brake.

    Downshift

Last resort throw it in reverse.

But just choosing from your list, I would choose B.

  9. B. Downshift
