Legally the following statements are true.

Legally American woman gives birth on Dutch soil (Dutch father), can be prevented for returning to America with her baby? Because the Dutch father has the legal right to raise his child in the Netherlands, as long as he never allows his child to leave Dutch soil.

Legally Dutch woman who gives birth in American soil (American father) can be prevented from returning to the Netherlands with her baby, because the American father has the legal right to raise his child on American soil, as long as he never allows his child to leave American soil?

Do you think it is right?

Or do you think that the American woman, who gives birth Dutch soil, should be allowed to raise her child in America and raise her child in America, while the Dutch woman who gives birth on America soil should give be required to raise her child in America, if the American father wants to?

Do you think this is right?

Or do you think that the American woman, who gives birth in the Netherlands, should be required to allow the Dutch father raise her child in the Netherlands, if she decides to return to America shortly after giving birth. While the Dutch woman who gives birth in the Netherlands should be required to raise her child in American if the American father is want to.

Do you think this is right?

Whish of that case number 1, 2, or 3 would be the right thing to do. You assume that American parents want to raise there child in America and never wants to live in the Netherlands, and the Dutch parent’s wants to raise there child in the Netherlands and never wants to live in America.

  1. Baby will live with the mother for at least the first 6-12 mos, regardless of where she's from because it's in the best interest of the baby. The baby needs that maternal connection, especially if breast fed.

What's the deal with you posting these questions the past few days? Have a baby with someone from your own country--problem solved. If you're not committed to one another and can't agree on where to live, you don't belong with one another and should not emotionally scar a child by placing them in a bad situation.

  2. I don't think any of these are right. If two people are not going to be together and they have a child then the proper thing to do is arrange it so that the child spends some of the time in America and some in the Netherlands with each perspective parent

  3. I can not agree with any of the choices. These are things that should be sorted out between people before having s*x.

  4. I believe that the mother should be able to take her child where ever she wants and raise the baby in whatever environment she chooses, unless of course she is an unfit mother. But until that is proven, I think the Mother can take the baby. This is because in my views, the mother is the one that takes care of the child most in the earlier years, and also if men have the right to keep the child in their homeland, then so do women. In my childhood years, I was raised mostly by my mother, I still saw my dad, but he did pretty much squat, of course I don't know your situation, but  I think, let the mother do what she pleases with her child. She had to go through all the work to get it.

  5. Dual citizenship.

    TL;DR.
