  1. Answer is C  and here is why:

    a. a mountain range – affects climate -  the rainfall causing a possible rainshadow on one side and heavy rains on the windside (Orographic Rainfall)

b.the equator – affects climate: the temperature (tropical) and the amount of precipitation (Convectional Rainfall)

    c. a thunderstorm – is weather:  the immediate precipitation - this has no longterm affect on an area's climate at all - affects only the present weather pattern

    d. the Atlantic Ocean – one affect is: affects the climate of the coastal countries in Europe and Africa (example - carries the Gulf stream to England which is why England has a moderate temperature in the winter)

  2. The equator - it is geographical reference point

  3. a thunderstorm would not have too much of a long term effect.

all the other options are pretty permanent so would most definitely cause a permanent weather change.
