  1. Actually, the last colony to obtain a royal charter was Georgia, which was chartered in 1732.  Otherwise, Snooty's previously posted answer would be accurate.


  2. The Province of Carolina was the last of the thirteen to be settled, founded in 1663. Carolina colony was divided into North Carolina and South Carolina in 1712. Both colonies became royal colonies in 1729.

    The British empire was based upon maritime commerce, the answer is Austria.

    In response to your 3rd question, if the Navigation act benefited American ship building interests, goods bound for England would surely be carried on Colonial and other vessels?

    There are arguments for all the statements, however as the navigation act limited trade to and from the colonies I would answer E. to hurt French (and Dutch) commercial interests.
