  1. officially they share a 'balance of power'.

  2. they have the same amount of power  they have checks and balences to make sure no one branch gets to powerful

  3. They are meant to be equal as a "checks and balances" system so not one branch of governement becomes too powerful. This influence, and the amount of equality, may fluctuate over time, but overall I think the system works remarkably well at not allowing one branch to have too much power over others. It's really a very neat system when you think about it!

  4. Judicial especially when it comes to the Supreme court justices.  They are in office for life with no repercussions for their actions.  Remember when they took away a citizens right to private domain.  Lol, they even said it was in keeping with our founding fathers.  Yeah right!  Like Jefferson and Franklin would support a local government taking your property to make a buck.

  5. Executive. It derives from the root word, "execute".

  6. They were designed to be equal parts and act as a counterbalance to the other branches so no one branch became too powerful.  But during times like these (near elections) the executive and legislative branches garner more television time making them appear more powerful...

Same thing... the Senate and House of Reps are supposed to be equal but because of tv time the senate appears to be more in power... (kinda a shaft deal for the House!)
