  1. I would think Carbon Dioxide and Sunlight, no?

  2. carbon dioxide + sunlight= oxygen + sugar (food for the plant)

  3. The oxygen released from photosynthesis is the byproduct of H2O being split during the light reactions of photosynthesis.

CO2 is used in the dark reactions to produce sugars and does not release any 02.

  4. uhm... Water and carbon dioxide...

  5. theoretically, the oxygen that are being produced during photosynthesis is the by-product of the photolysis of water molecules.

So i would say its water molecules used by the plant to produce oxygen gas.
