I need to start three of these. Not the strongest RB core, but the rest of my team is Pro-bowlers

Jamal Lewis - Cle (of course)

DeAngelo Williams - Car

Rashard Mendenahll - Pitt

  1. I think this is a no brainer, the only 3 RB's that don't have to split time with anyone. Jamal Lewis, Thomas Jones and Chris Perry.  I actually think Thomas Jones will have a huge year this year.  The addition of Favre backs off the DB's so they have to play the pass and the addition of Alan Faneca and Damian Woody only helps Jones out that much more.

  2. Jamal Lewis (your best)

Chris Perry (solid option in future weeks, tough match up this week)

Thomas Jones (very solid this week vs MIA)

    Those should be your starters.

Mendenhall will get little work since Willie Parker will be the starter, but on the positive side, he'll get the goal line touches...

DeAngelo williams is not only going to be sharing carries with Jonathan Stewart but also, the best RB is Stewart, he'll get the goal line and the majority of the touches. In future weeks, look for Stewart to be the starter. You might wanna trade DeAngelo now...

  3. Lewis, Jones, and Perry...they are all virtually unchallenged starters.  Williams is subject to lose goal line carries and Mendenhall is hoping the Steelers bring him in near the goal line...and that they have confidence that he won't fumble.

  4. Lewis

    Jones

    Perry

  5. Start Thomas Jones and Chris Perry.  If Jamal Lewis is healthy and plays go with him, watch the sunday reports on Lewis though cause he is dealing with a bad hammy. If lewis doesnt play go with Deangelo williams.  Keep Mendenhall on the bench cause he is dealing with fumbles right now, and until he proves he can hold onto the ball the steelers are going to keep him on the bench.

  6. Thomas Jones hands down, By far your best 2nd RB, He's an underrated RB in my eyes, yet he still seems to put a good season year in year out. He's the more proven RB and he wont be splitting carries as much as the other RB's you have, just my opinion, good luck on your decision and best of luck.

  7. Thomas Jones behind an improved line and an improved QB as long as the weather isn't bad.

Lewis would be a sure bet, but he hasn't been practicing much because of his hamstring. He's supposed to play though and unless there's information that downgrades him between now and gametime, he's in.

I'd give an edge to Perry over Williams for the 3rd slot. Williams has played well in the preseason, but I don't expect big numbers in San Diego.
