Which of these World Series matchups is most likely to happen: Subway Series or Crosstown Classic?

haven't been on for a few days now (we got a pool!),but im back!

So,which matchup do you think is most likely to happen:Subway Series (Yankees,Mets) or Crosstown Classic (Cubs,White Sox)?

I would love to see a Crosstown Classic,but I'm leaning towards Subway Series.Both Mets and Yanks are playing very well so far.What do you think?

as of now its lookin like the crosstown classic would be more likely. Both teams are in first and staying pretty consistent.

This year I think a Crosstown Classic is more likely - the Yankees might be playing well right now, but I don't think they have the guns this year to get it done (Ponson? Sexson? Those might pay off in the short run, but they're also moves that scream desperation).

The Cubs, I think, are the best team in baseball right now and the White Sox are playing very well for the most part. Being the best team during the regular season doesn't guarantee a World Series, but I still think those two have a better chance of making it than the New York teams.

Just my opinion.

Subway Series

The Cubs always blow it and the Yanks always find a way to make the playoffs. mets were only a few outs away in '06.

I think a Crosstown Classic even though both are almost impossiable right now.

I just don't think we can say the Mets and Yankees when they havn't really gotten sole posession of 1st place.

I do think they will both end up in the playoffs though.

And for me I would just love to see the White Sox in the WS anyway against whomever, but they seem to be struggling and their lead is only .5 =O

Well first off I don't think either of those will happen but of the two I guess I will say the Crosstown Classic just because I think the Cubs are the only team (of those four) with a legitimate shot at making the World Series.

we've seen the subway series in 2000 now i want to see the white sox loose to the cubs. hate both teams but as a twins fan i dont want to ever see another central team win unless the logo says tc on it.

the Yankees won't even make the Playoffs, and the Mets will have a hard time making them so, i will say CROSSTOWN CLASSIC.

Well the Yanks still have work to do and yeah the Mets are playing well but will they go back into a funk like the beginning of the season?  I'm pretty sure the Cubs are going to get far in the playoffs maybe world series but the White Sox idk about.  The most likely would have to be the Subway Series but i doubt that will happen this year.

i think the Crosstown Classic would be a better matchup..two spirited rivals, the Cubs who havnt won since tv was invented, and the Sox with their underrated offense

im sure the Subway series would be a great matchup too, but 2000 was a great series, and i dont know if another one in the same decade could top it
