Which of these bikes is faster on cement?

The first one (giant), the second one doesnt have gears so that's going to limit your speed and acceleration.  It's a bit like a BMX whereas the giant is a mountain bike

I think you should be able to go faster on the first bike, since you can set the seat height to a level that is ideal for going fast.  Plus it has the larger wheels which would also help.

BMX are single speed and I would think over any significant distance you could keep up speed (since you have to stand to go fast on bmx)
