  1. With 6k you are talking of a used car. With a used car maintainence cost is unpredictable. Civic & Corolla have sub 2 litre engines so will be more efficient. Resale : nothing to beat Corolla

  2. Toyota corola is 2.6l 4cylinder or the six 3.2 either one the one get like 26 the six cyl. and the other one the 4 cyl. gets over 30mpg

  3. I wouldn't put the Eclipse in this category.  It may be nice looking but it does not compare to Toyota or Honda when it comes to resale value or reliability.

As far as the other 4,  I think it's all relative.  The Accord and Camry are larger cars and therefore won't be as fuel efficient and they will cost you more to buy.

Resale and Maintenance will be great on all of them.

Based on the records of those two manufacturers the price to purchase a good used Toyota or Honda will be high.  I think you should add Nissan and Mazda to your list.  They will be less expensive to buy and are just as reliable and fuel efficient.

  4. Hi any time putting in all the parameters, HONDA are the best according to me. Then comes Toyota. I am not much aware of eclipse, but sure looks good and you feel like a sports car. If you are looking at a small segment first is Civic and then is corolla. The in the next segment it is Accord and then Camry.

    Hope this helps

  5. Honda civic and accord. Take your pic.

Mitsubish eclipse is nice but has horable car problems in the high mileage area.
