I'm looking to get my 2nd car, because my current 1998 Plymouth Neon needs a lot of work.

I will be commuting to college every day, and I'm looking to get a 4-cylinder that's good on gas. Nothing too big, but not too small either. Also something that is good in the snow/rain.

I'm debating between the 2008 Honda Civic, 2009 Toyota Corolla, 2008 Dodge Avenger and 2008 Volkswagen Jetta.

I'm an 18-year-old male btw. Which of these cars would be best for me? Any other suggestions?

  1. I vote for the Civic. I just got one and it's great.  Good luck!

  2. If you want a car that will last forever get a civic.  same with the toyota, avengers look cool and so do jettas, i would go with jetta or avenger

  3. get a nissan 350z or a mustang

  4. All 4 cars that you mentioned would be good choices, but I have an 08 Nissan Sentra S & it's been a great car so far. I bought it in June. I'm averaging 29 mpg overall in mixed driving. The computer says I get 37 mpg on the hwy. If you have $10K, just outright buy a really good used car & eliminate having a payment. G'luck!
