  1. 5> the 2+2 if you have the money> It's a collector>

  2. 's 5,6, and 7. 1 thru 4 are worthless, and any money you spend on them is wasted. The others are bonafide collectibles which have a history of selling for big bucks when properly restored.

  3. Either of the Chevys

    Parts are more readily available.

With the Chevy, you could literally start with a glove box door and purchase enough parts to build an entire car.

When you are finished, if you do a good job restoring the car, either Chevy will be worth the most money.

  4. Camaro, old school muscle is the way to go, plus its a lot easier and cheaper to make power with a big block than it is to have to spend thousands on turbos and all that c**p and still not even be in the same ballpark as the big block for horsepower

  5. I would say go with the 67-69 Camaro. Its going to cosy you more up front, but, In my opinion (that's what you wanted, right) The Camaro's can look the coolest. If I were you, I would go with some parts from Mooneyesusa.com (real old school hot rod parts). I don't know if you want to restore it or what.

Another reason I would go for the American Muscle; History. There was an era in the U.S. when it was all about what came out of Detroit. My friend's Grandpa worked in a  Ford assembly line during the 50's and he told me how there was a sign at the head of the plant, big enough for everyone to see. It said "Buy one foreign car, put ten Americans out of work". As for history, I do have a problem with foreign cars, because once we started dealing with Japan, Detroit fell into a slump, Pittsburgh became a ghetto (coincidentally, unemployment rates in that region skyrocketed), and the American Car manufacturers started making cheap, S****y cars... The Muscle car represents a time in American  history when it was about freedom...

Now mind you, the Japanese cars are built to last (I've heard), but the market is saturated with them. Every Billy Badass on the block drives a Mazda or a Nissan. You won't be cool rolling in one. But a Camaro, Chevelle, or Mustang is sure to turn heads! Think about it!

Plus muscle car parts are easy to come by. You can just go to the Chevy Dealer, and can pick up anything for it! Try going to Nissan, and getting a stock radio, I dare ya!!!

These are just thing to think of, I know my answer is one sided, but surely you saw my point...

Can you help me out? I'm trying to fix my 81 Camaro, and I asked a question as to what I can do for it. Do you think you can answer it?

  6. Availability is best on the American cars. Parts availability is also best on the American cars. The '67 Mustang fastback shell is even being produced new so you can get a rust free and structurally improved shell. The Mustang also undoubtedly has the best after market support of any of those cars. Mustang parts houses with original style and dress up/soup up part abound from California to Virginia and from Michigan to Florida. I think the Mustang is hard to beat as you can easily obtain the parts to go anyway you want. From factory original to wildly modified, the parts are easy to find. However when it comes right down to it your own personal preference, available models and cost are the determining factors.

  7. I would say the old school muscle, you can find one that runs and is in decent shape for a bit of money, and just work on it, the goal would be to have no down time and just enjoy it. that is a challenge on it's own. the 240 you would have to piece the car together until you make it run, usually takes years to get it right. the rx7, probably less down time but it's going to be a challenge. the datsun real unique but hard to find anything for them.  example, my friend bought a perfectly running 240, he spend 2k on the red top, 1500 on upgraded turbo, exhaust, 600 on intercooler, with piping. had his best friend an expert on 240 put it together. well 2 years later it still dosent run. I would rather spend 5k on old school muscle and just enjoy it.

  8. The RX7 can make a wicked car if you've got it tuned right.

  9. Typically, a project car is one that need a lot of work. I can't imagine an early 90's Japanese car needing a lot of work. Project cars would usually be like the last three. Personally, I would go with the Mustang. I love the way the fastbacks look. Not to mention, it's a Mustang.
