i don't want my new dark jeans to fade, and i already know about the whole washing them inside out thing. so i'm gonna do that.

but should i wash them with Clorox Chlorine Free Bleach for Colors? it says it brightens color, and believe me it really works.

or should i wash them with with just regular Wisk detergent?

these are just the two detergents i keep in my house, and i don't feel like going out...i need my rest to go out tonight.

and are there any other things to do to keep jeans from fading?

  1. Don't wash your jeans every time you wear them.  Unless I spill something on them, sit in something, or otherwise get them visibly dirty, I only wash my jeans every 6 weeks or so for the ones I wear a couple times a week.  I used to wash my jeans much more often, but my sister in law, who's a fashion buyer/stylist, taught me not to.

Washing them inside out and hang drying them will also help keep them dark and help them keep their shape and fit.

  2. I wash mine in cold water with Tide detergent, and hang to dry instead of putting in the dryer. I read somewhere that the dryer fades clothing more than the washer.

  3. use the Clorox and wash in cold water

  4. wash them with the wisk in cold water. I would stay away from anything that says clorox bleach

  5. Just wash your dark jeans in your favorite laundry detergent in cold

water to prevent them from fading.
