  1. That depends for what. For city driving with the minimum of fuel usage, the Prius wins hands down.

But for performance driving (and fun) a Mustang GT is hard to beat.

  2. easy answer ford beats most every car made

  3. Toyota Prius

  4. Oh you wanna quote articles, do you? OK here's a few to chew on..

(oh and by the way, one of the cars that earned top spot was.. the Mustang.)

Shall I go on? And as far as the original question, Mustang vs Prius, they are totally different cars. The Mustang is made to look cool and go fast. They are reliable, (mine just passed 134,000 miles with no problems yet) and fun cars.

The Prius is made to save fuel, and even that is not so spectacular. The Geo Metro was more fuel efficient than the Prius. The Mustang will absolutely destroy a Prius at the dragstrip, but the Prius gets better fuel economy. Which is more important to you?

  5. ford is the best kind of car that you can get we have a bunch of fords we dont have a toyota at all and fords i think is better

  6. Toyota makes better cars than Ford.  Ford is refered to as Fix Or Repair Daily

  7. http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/...

Consumer Reports puts the Toyota Prius in their Best Bets list for used cars based on reliability.  The Ford Mustang isn't listed.  The Toyota Prius is also listed as a best bet for a new car as well, based on road tests, reliability, and safety:  http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/...

    http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/bestbet/a...

The Toyota Prius is also on Edmunds' best bets list for used cars, for reliability, safety, and availability.  The Ford Mustang didn't make the list.

The Toyota Prius also makes Edmunds' Lowest True Cost to Own vehicle list:  http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/tco/2008/... (The Ford Mustang isn't listed.)

The Toyota Prius also makes Edmunds' list of vehicles with the lowest depreciation ratings.  Again, the Ford Mustang is not listed.  http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/alg/index...

The Toyota Prius is also the most fuel efficient vehicle available in the US today, at 48mpg city/45mpg highway/46mpg combined:  http://www.fueleconomy.gov/f*g/bymodel/2...

Actual owners report on average mid-upper 40s for MPG:  https://www.fueleconomy.gov/mpg/MPG.do?a... and http://www.greenhybrid.com/compare/milea...

It also is listed as an AT-PZEV (Alternative Technology Partial Zero Emission Vehicle) in California emission states, so it has 90% cleaner emissions than an average vehicle and also no evaporative emissions.

    Meanwhile, the Ford Mustang, depending on engine/transmission/trim, somewhere between 14mpg city/20mpg highway/16mpg combined, to 17mpg city/26mpg highway/20mpg combined:  http://www.fueleconomy.gov/f*g/bymodel/2...

Actual owners seem to be reporting on average around 20mpg:  https://www.fueleconomy.gov/mpg/MPG.do?a...

The Mustang is rated a ULEV in CA emission states, so about 70% cleaner than an average car.
