11 ANSWERS

  1. 1.  Joel Casamayor- if Pacquiao wants to call himself the lightweight champion of the world, he must go through Casamayor first.  Casamayor is the linear and true lightweight champion and I think that it would be a good fight between 2 very good southpaws.  Prediction: I'm really unsure at the moment, although I lean towards Casamayor- part of me says that Casamayor would win using his movement and craftiness to outbox Pacquiao in a decision win.  I believe that if Marquez could almost do it at 130, then Casamayor has a d**n good chance to do it at 135.  If Casamayor loses badly in his next fight to Juan Manuel Marquez, then I will change my mind.  The other part of me thinks that Pacquiao would just be too relentless for Casamayor and would win a decision backing him up with his agression.

    2.  Joan Guzman- Guzman deserves a shot at Pacquiao; he's been calling him out for the longest but to no avail.  It would be a very good fight between the slick boxer in Guzman and the hard-punching brawler in Pacquiao.  Prediction- Guzman by decision.  I really think that he has the stuff to outbox Pacquiao and make him look amateurish.

    3.  Edwin Valero- this would be an awesome all-action fight between two hard-hitting punchers.  Prediction- Pacquiao by stoppage.  Even though Valero has a title, he is still very unproven and I think that Pacquiao would expose that if they ever fought.

    4.  Nate Campbell- he deserves a big-money fight against someone like Pacquiao; he's never ducked anybody and he proved that he is one of (if not the) best lightweights in the world when he took it to Juan Diaz and beat him at his own game.  Prediction: Campbell by decision.  Campbell and Pacquiao are pressure fighters and when 2 pressure fighters collide, the stronger and more determined one wins every time out- I believe that at 135, Campbell is the stronger fighter and he would walk Pacquiao down to a decision win, similarly to the Juan Diaz fight.

    5.  Juan Manuel Marquez- he deserves another shot at Pacman.  Their first 2 fights were very close and you could make a genuine argument that Marquez deserved the decision in both.  Prediction: Pacquiao by another decision.  If Marquez could just stay on the outside and not trade with Pacman, then I think that he would probably outbox him, but I just think that he would somehow get drawn in once again to fighting Manny's fight and would lose another close decision.

    6.  Ricky Hatton- It would be a huge event that would truly draw fans from all over the world.  Prediction: Hatton for the same reasons as Campbell.  Hatton is the bigger, and stronger fighter and he would stop Pacquiao late in the fight if they ever fought.

    7.  David Diaz- its an interesting fight to see how good Pacman will perform in his first fight at lightweight, and should he be successful, he will have won world titles in 4 different weight divisions.  Even if Diaz is not the true champion, you have to admit that is a great accomplishment.  Prediction- Pacquiao by decision.  Manny is the better overall fighter and is more explosive.  Diaz could barely beat a past his prime Erik Morales after Pacquiao had blown him away twice.

    8.  Julio Diaz- I don't really have that much interest in this bout at the moment.  Maybe if it was JUAN Diaz or Michael Katsidis, it would be better.  Prediction: Pacquiao by stoppage.  Julio has trouble with pressure fighters and I think Pacman would exploit that.
