Which of these is not a gait: walk, trot canter, or skip?

i'd have to say.......Skip... well  when it comes to a horses gait... it's walk (4 beats), trot (2 beat), canter (3 beats), gallop (4 beats).... never skip.

a walk is a four beat gait that's the slowest, and safest.

the trot is two beats with the diagonal feet coming together in each beat.

a canter is a three beat gait with leads--left and right. A left lead is when the left forefoot leads the horse and a right lead is when the right forefoot leads the horse.
