  1. German is very easy to learn as English is a Germanic language. You will find  that a lot of the verbs and nouns are the same just spelled slightly differently in English. for example milk is milch, father is vater

mother is mutter, brother is broder, dog (or hound) is hund Also the

grammar is quite simliar.Spainish is a romance language ie like French but is not as hard to learn as French much easier and much more beautiful to speak. Swedish,Icelandic, Greek and Welsh have

no English/German roots so they are a lot more difficult for English speakers to learn.

  2. Spanish. Seeing as you're a native English speaker, German wouldn't be too hard either as it's similar in some respects to English.

  3. I'd say German

  4. In order (easiest to hardest):

    Swedish

    Spanish

    French

    Dutch

    German

    Greek

    Welsh

    Icelandic

  5. I'm not sure about all of those on the list, but Spanish isn't too hard to learn. Most of the constructions and such are fairly simple and seem to follow a pattern so it's not that confusing.

I've been learning French for a while, and when you know similar latin based languages it can be quite a bit easier, but if you're only really fluent in English it may be slightly more difficult.

English has Germanic roots, so it's probably easier to learn than some of the others.

Greek seems complicated, but that's probably because I've never really given it a shot, although I'd like to learn it.

As for the others, I'm not sure.

I'd go with Spanish or German.

  6. To me Swedish is because it seems closer to English than German does.

for example: ''Horse'' in Swedish is ''Häst'' , in German it's Pferd , ''Book'' in Swedish is "Bok" , in German it's "Buch".
